Enhancing 2024 Civil Servant (ASN) Training: FGD - Ministry of Industry's

The Center for Development, Education, and Training of Human Resources for Apparatuses has successfully held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) activity in the framework of preparing the 2024 ASN training needs within the Ministry of Industry. The event, which took place at the Horison Hotel - Bekasi (08/23-25/2023), aims to map and understand the training needs required by ASNs in carrying out their duties and responsibilities in the coming year.

This FGD activity was opened by Ir. Restu Yuni Widayati, the Head of the HR Development, Education and Training Center for Apparatuses. In his remarks, he expressed his hope that all FGD participants would be able to participate and make a meaningful contribution to this discussion.

"I hope that all participants in the Focus Group Discussion can contribute and at the same time share their abilities to carry out maximum training for our assisted ASN, especially Functional Officers," he said.

Furthermore, Ir. Restu Yuni Widayati also highlighted the journey of developing functional positions in the last few years. He admits that changes and adjustments have occurred in the development of functional positions, which are often not easy. All related parties need to provide proper support to ASNs to ensure ASNs do not experience difficulties in fulfilling their duties and rights.

BPSDMI - Ministry of Industries has a commitment to increase capacity and support the mentoring role for all Functional Officials. The goal is to avoid potential ongoing losses that may result from a lack of readiness in carrying out coaching duties.

This FGD activity was attended by various parties who have important roles within the Ministry of Industry. Among others, the Head of the OSDM Bureau, the Head of the Planning Bureau, the Secretary of the Inspectorate General, as well as representatives from the Financial Education and Training Center, and the Chair of the Association of Trade and Industry Extension Functional Officials but as resource persons. Not only that, the Functional Position Development Units within the Ministry of Industry also participated, along with employees from The Center for Development, Education, and Training of Human Resources for Apparatuses.

Prior to the FGD implementation, data collection had been carried out online or in the form of meetings. These data are analyzed to understand the training needs in each functional position supervisory unit. In addition, data synchronization is also carried out with the Development Plan Unit from the OSDM Bureau. From the analysis process carried out, recommendations for training are deemed necessary discussion With this Focus Group Discussion it is hoped that the ASNs for developing and training ASNs within the Ministry of Industry can be more focused and effective so that ASNs can make maximum contributions in carrying out their increasingly complex tasks.
